Wednesday January 11th, 2017 marked a very special day for Legend Boats. Sudbury MP, Paul Lefebvre, visited the Legend Headquarters Campus to announce that Legend is receiving a $203,306 grant from FedNor’s Northern Ontario Development Program!
Legend Boats will be using this grant money to invest in new information technology to improve communications, enhance customer service and improve inventory tracking.
Mr. Lefebvre, along with his crew held a conference in the showroom of the brand new Legend Boats Headquarters to present the grant to Legend General Managers, Marc Duhamel and Jamie Dewar. Following the presentation, the group took a tour of the new building, including stopping in at the Team Lounge, R&D facility, Training Room, and even the Legend Employee Fitness Centre.
It was general consensus among the group that Legend was a pretty great place to work and a few even joked about applying for various positions so they could make use of the many amenities provided to Legend Boats staff.
All in all, it was a very prosperous day for both Legend Boats and for Northern Ontario in general as this grant will be used to make Legend’s facility more efficient and aid in them being able to hire more people from the City of Greater Sudbury!
Legend Boats wishes to thank Paul Lefebvre and Navdeep Bains, the Minister responsible for FedNor for their generosity with this grant. Good things are coming to the North and this is a small step for Legend Boats on the grand scale of their plans for the future.
